Who makes the ManagiDiTH Master’s Programme possible across our universities?

The answer: 108 dedicated professionals working across our network of universities, blending experience, vision, and expertise. From teachers to staff, every role from curriculum design to student support, from research coordination to administration matters, in bringing this programme to life.

Each university partner has their unique roles and responsibilities within the project and the delivery of the master’s programme, showcasing a wide variety of expertise and dedication. The dedicated professionals that we see in these numbers are made up of a mix of teachers, professors, project workers, and administrative staff across the three universities.

Our Consortium & Partners

Collaboration is foundational and the delivery of ManagiDiTH not only stems from the university partners but from the interdisciplinary and transnational institutional partners as well. Our formal consortium includes:

  • Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
  • ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon
  • Laurea University of Applied Sciences
  • Instituto de Telecomunicações
  • Whymob, Lda.
  • Clinipower Finland Ltd
  • Mundiserviços – Companhia Portuguesa de Serviços e Gestão, Lda

On top of this, the programme maintains an ever-growing industry partner ecosystem. These industry collaborators have shown their interest in what ManagiDiTH has to offer and ensure that what students learn remains tethered to evolving real-world health and digital contexts.

The Origins & Mission

ManagiDiTH (Master’s in Managing Digital Transformation in the Health Sector) officially launched in January 2023, funded by the European Union under the Digital Europe Programme. It emerged as a response to urgent challenges: rapid tech change in healthcare, the pressure points revealed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need for a new type of professional fluent in health, technology, and organizational systems.

From day one, the programme was envisioned as international, interdisciplinary, and online. It is designed to be completed while working, offering flexibility and accessibility. Students choose between two specialization tracks: Data Science or Interoperability, and dive into health, societal, and digital competencies, culminating in a thesis project worth 30 ECTS.

Over time, the consortium has worked to ground the curriculum in real-world needs. Stakeholder mapping needs assessment, and continuous feedback from industry partners have all guided the evolution of the master’s structure and its continued improvement.

Voices from the Inside

“ManagiDiTH reshaped my perspective, sharpened my skills, and helped me see how digital health and human needs really intersect.” – Christine Driva, ManagiDiTH student

From our student blog series, we see reflections on many of the pillars of ManagiDiTH:

  • The challenge and reward of balancing work, study, and personal life in an online format
  • The richness of connecting with peers from different countries, backgrounds, and professional fields. A richness that the consortium shares too.
  • How project work initiates real dialogue between theory, practice and possibilities

At the same time, experts in the consortium reflect on key pedagogical choices:

  • The integration of problem-based learning, where students engage with real challenges, not just theory
  • The decision to weave societal and ethical competencies alongside digital and health modules
  • The need for a well-rounded curriculum that adapts to the rapid change in digital health tools and standards
