As the ManagiDiTH master’s programme in Managing Digital Transformation in the Health Sector enters its second year, the 2025 cohort offers a fascinating look into the evolving landscape of digital health education across Europe. Unlike last year’s overview, which included both applicants and admitted candidates, this year’s data highlights enrolled students, providing a clear picture of who chose to embark on this international journey toward shaping the digital future of healthcare!
A Multi-National Cohort
ManagiDiTH continues to draw a diverse and international community. The 2025 cohort represents 16 different European countries, with the largest groups coming from Greece (32.3%), Portugal (39.2%), Finland (13.8%), Italy (4.8%), and Germany (2.6%).This geographical spread once again reflects the consortium nature of the programme, coordinated by Iscte (Portugal), AUTH (Greece), and Laurea (Finland), and underscores the programme’s growing appeal across Europe.
An Experienced Student Body
This year, 73% of enrolled students have more than two years of work experience, showing that the programme continues to attract participants with professional backgrounds in healthcare, management, and IT. At ManagiDiTH we have participants who are already active in healthcare, management, or IT sectors and are seeking to deepen their digital transformation expertise through this programme.
A Strong Academic Foundation
The academic backgrounds of the students also demonstrate impressive depth. Most of the 2025 cohort hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent 106 students in total, while 79 have already completed a master’s degree, and 9 even hold a Doctoral degree. This blend of academic and professional experience enriches classroom discussions and collaborative projects, creating a dynamic environment where theory meets practice and where our students can learn from each other’s knowledge and experience.
Age and Diversity in Perspective
The age distribution of the new cohort remains well-balanced, combining the energy of early-career professionals with the insight of seasoned experts. A significant portion of students are under 30, while a considerable group falls within the 31–40 range, and a smaller but steady number represent the 41–50 and 50+ brackets. Compared to last year, there’s a modest rise in the share of mid-career professionals, a reflection of ManagiDiTH’s growing reputation as a programme that enables meaningful career transitions into the digital health sector at any stage of your career.
Women Leading the Way in Digital Health
Gender diversity continues to be a hallmark of the programme. In 2025, 65% of enrolled students are women, once again affirming the strong interest and leadership of women in digital health innovation. This mirrors last year’s encouraging trend, confirming that ManagiDiTH continues to attract and empower women to take central roles in Europe’s health technology transformation.
Building on Success
With 194 enrolled students across the consortium, the second ManagiDiTH cohort builds on the momentum of last year’s success. From recent graduates to healthcare professionals and digital transformation specialists, the 2025 students share a common goal: to develop the skills and insights needed to drive the digital future of European healthcare.
Lastly, a huge thank you to all enrolled students as well as applicants. We are very grateful for your interest in ManagiDiTH!
